This page is very important to understand the structure and terminology to correctly use the podcasting functionality of this website template.

There are 2 main entities:

1) Podcast series

2) Podcast episodes

 

Podcast series (shows)

A series (or Show) is a collection of episodes. Example

In WordPress, it is represented by a hierarchical term, comparable to the normal post categories.

A serie can contain unlimited episodes.

Child terms of a serie are recognized as seasons of that serie.

 

Podcast episodes

A single podcast episode, has the same structure of a normal page and is meant to contain one episode (this is NOT a playlist of multiple episodes).

A podcast episode can be added to multiple series and seasons (more series can contain the same podcast).
