First of all, please be sure your server meets the system requirements<\/a> and that your WordPress installation<\/a> is correctly performed.<\/p>\n

You can install your new\u00a0theme in the following ways:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. From the admin dashboard, using the WordPress theme installer (easiest method).<\/li>\n
  2. or manually via FTP<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Please make\u00a0sure that you start from a fresh WordPress installation, without any plugin(s).<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    IMPORTANT NOTE BEFORE INSTALLING THE THEME:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    This theme provides a child theme<\/strong>, making it easier to\u00a0update your site with\u00a0new\u00a0theme versions without losing any customizations or settings. The following instructions will teach you how to correctly install and activate the theme using the child theme, which will make your life much easier down the line<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

    Automatic theme installation from wp-admin<\/h3>\n
      \n
    1. Login to your website in\u00a0\/wp-admin<\/strong><\/li>\n
    2. Go to\u00a0Appearance > Themes<\/strong><\/li>\n
    3. Click\u00a0Install Themes<\/strong>\u00a0and then\u00a0Upload<\/strong><\/li>\n
    4. Click on the\u00a0\u201cBrowse\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0button and select the zipped folder of the theme from your computer.<\/li>\n
    5. Upload the theme called wpcast.zip but DO NOT ACTIVATE IT<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n
    6. Once done click on \u201cReturn to themes\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n
    7. Click “add new” and upload\u00a0the theme wpcast-child.zip<\/strong><\/li>\n
    8. Activate\u00a0wpcast<\/strong>-child.zip<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n
    9. Install the required plugins (next manual chapter<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Troubleshooting:<\/h3>\n

      Error: The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet<\/strong><\/h4>\n

      If you see this error, it means that you are trying to upload the entire product package instead of the simple theme zip file<\/strong>. Please unzip<\/strong> the product folder in your computer and upload only the theme zip file<\/strong> and the child theme’s zip file.<\/p>\n

      Error: Are you sure you want to do this?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

      Please check system requirements<\/a>.<\/p>\n

      Manual theme installation (FTP installation)<\/h3>\n
        \n
      1. Download the\u00a0product<\/strong> zip<\/strong> from Themeforest (not the full product) and expand it on your computer<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      2. Locate the correct theme<\/strong> folder<\/strong> inside of the unzipped folder<\/strong>, it will contain wpcast-child.zip and wpcast.zip<\/li>\n
      3. Make\u00a0sure you unzip the correct theme folders (wpcast.zip and wpcast-child.zip). This will produce 2 folders: wpcast and wpcast-child<\/strong><\/li>\n
      4. Connect to your hosting provider using an FTP<\/strong> client (e.g. Filezilla is one of the best free FTP clients, you can get it\u00a0here<\/a>)<\/li>\n
      5. Navigate to your WordPress installation folder (usually is not the root folder but it should be public_html<\/strong>, www<\/strong> or something else, depending on your hosting provider settings).To be sure that you are in the WordPress folder, you should\u00a0see the following three folders inside:
        \n\u2013 wp-content
        \n\u2013 wp-admin
        \n\u2013 wp-includes<\/li>\n
      6. Navigate to wp-content\/themes<\/strong><\/li>\n
      7. Upload the two previously unzipped theme folders (wpcast and wpcast-child,\u00a0see step 2. above<\/em>) in\u00a0wp-content\/themes\u00a0<\/strong>folder.<\/li>\n
      8. Now open your browser (we recommend Google Chrome), navigate to the admin dashboard of your wordpress site (usually yoursite.com\/wp-admin<\/strong>)<\/li>\n
      9. Go to\u00a0Appearance-> themes<\/strong> and activate: Wpcast Child<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
      10. Install the required plugins (next manual chapter<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        If you encounter any activation problem please check the system requirements, your WordPress version and disable any plugin you may have in your website.<\/p>\n
