  1. Click Events<\/li>\n
  2. Click Add New<\/li>\n
  3. Enter a title and description<\/li>\n
  4. Choose a date using the datepicker<\/li>\n
  5. Insert an address and any other details<\/li>\n
  6. If you want to show a google map for the event, insert the location of the event and click “Geolocate Address”<\/li>\n
  7. Add a website URL\u00a0for the event<\/li>\n
  8. Add a location name, like \u201cAmnesia Ibiza\u201d<\/li>\n
  9. Add a contact phone number<\/li>\n
  10. Add a Facebook event link<\/li>\n
  11. Choose if you want to show an extra comment box using Facebook comments<\/li>\n
  12. Add as many links to buy the ticket as you want<\/li>\n
  13. Select one or more event types, they are like categories, but for events. You can also create archives for specific event types.<\/li>\n
  14. Click \u201cPublish\u201d or \u201cUpdate\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Creating the events\u00a0archive:<\/h2>\n

    1. Go to pages->Add New<\/li>\n
    2. Select the Archive Events\u00a0template<\/li>\n
    3. In Appearance->Menus link to the page you just created (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Important!<\/h2>\n

      You can hide or show the events depending on the event date. To change this option go to
      \nAppearance->Customize->Events.<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Creating an event map:<\/h2>\n

      \nStarting on June 11 2018, you\u2019ll need a valid API key and a Google Cloud Platform billing account to access the core Google Maps APIs.<\/strong> Further information on this page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

        1. Be sure to have the QT Places plugin<\/strong> installed and active<\/li>\n
        2. Be sure that you are not hiding past events in case that you want to show them\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
        3. Add the shortcode [qtplaces posttype=”event”].<\/li>\n
        4. See the QtPlaces documentation for more infos<\/li>\n
        5. You can also use the QtPlaces shortcode generator in your page editor<\/li>\n
        6. Check the page Settings -> QT Places for more infos<\/li>\n
        7. Don’t use the Google Maps API unless necessary<\/strong> and unless you know how to properly generate it (check Google’s documentation about this. Only neededd for sites > 20K visitors a day)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n

          In your map api settings (on google api platform) you will need to activate 2 apis:\u00a0Geocode<\/strong> and Maps Javascript<\/strong> API.<\/p>\n

          In the javascript API settings, the last option (restriction<\/strong>) needs to be disabled<\/strong>.
