First of all, please be sure your\u00a0server meets the system requirements<\/a>\u00a0and that your\u00a0WordPress installation<\/a>\u00a0is correctly performed.<\/p>\n

You can install your new\u00a0theme in the following ways:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. From the admin dashboard, using the WordPress theme installer (easiest method).<\/li>\n
  2. or manually via FTP<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Please make\u00a0sure that you start from a fresh WordPress installation,\u00a0without any plugin(s).<\/strong><\/p>\n

    IMPORTANT NOTE BEFORE INSTALLING THE THEME:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    This theme provides\u00a0a child theme<\/strong>, making it easier to\u00a0update your site with\u00a0new\u00a0theme versions without losing any customizations or settings. The following instructions will teach you how to correctly install and activate the theme using the child theme,\u00a0which will make your life much easier down the line<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

    Automatic theme installation from the WordPress Admin<\/h1>\n
      \n
    1. Login to your website in\u00a0\/wp-admin<\/strong><\/li>\n
    2. Go to\u00a0Appearance > Themes<\/strong><\/li>\n
    3. Click\u00a0Install Themes<\/strong>\u00a0and then\u00a0Upload<\/strong><\/li>\n
    4. Click on the\u00a0\u201cBrowse\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0button and select the zipped folder of the theme from your computer.<\/li>\n
    5. Upload the theme called\u00a0onair2.zip but\u00a0DO NOT ACTIVATE IT<\/strong><\/li>\n
    6. Once done click on\u00a0\u201cReturn to themes\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n
    7. Click \u201cadd new\u201d and upload\u00a0the theme onair2-child.zip<\/strong><\/li>\n
    8. Activate\u00a0onair2<\/strong>-child.zip<\/strong><\/li>\n
    9. Install the required plugins (next manual chapter<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Troubleshooting:<\/h3>\n

      Error: The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet<\/strong><\/p>\n

      If you see this error, it means that you are trying to upload the entire product package instead of the correct theme zip file. Please unzip the product folder in your computer and upload only the theme zip file and the child theme\u2019s zip file.<\/p>\n

      Error: Are you sure you want to do this?<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Please check\u00a0system requirements<\/a>.<\/p>\n

      Manual theme installation (FTP installation)<\/h1>\n
        \n
      1. Download the zipped theme folder and extract it on\u00a0your local PC.<\/li>\n
      2. Locate the correct theme folder inside of the unzipped folder, it will contain\u00a0onair2<\/strong><\/strong>–child<\/strong>.zip and fluid.zip<\/li>\n
      3. Make\u00a0sure you unzip the correct theme folders (onair2.zip and\u00a0onair2<\/strong>-child.zip). This will produce 2 folders:\u00a0onair2<\/strong><\/strong> and\u00a0onair2<\/strong><\/strong>-child<\/strong><\/li>\n
      4. Connect to your hosting provider using an FTP client (e.g. Filezilla is one of the best free FTP clients, you can get it\u00a0here<\/a>)<\/li>\n
      5. Navigate to your WordPress installation folder (usually is not the root folder but it should be public_html, www or something else, depending on your hosting provider settings).To be sure that you are in the WordPress folder, you should\u00a0see the following three folders inside:
        \n\u2013 wp-content
        \n\u2013 wp-admin
        \n\u2013 wp-includes<\/li>\n
      6. Navigate to\u00a0wp-content\/themes<\/strong><\/li>\n
      7. Upload the two previously unzipped theme folders (\u00a0onair2<\/strong><\/strong> and\u00a0onair2<\/strong><\/strong>–child<\/strong>,\u00a0see step 2. above<\/em>) in\u00a0wp-content\/themes\u00a0<\/strong>folder.<\/li>\n
      8. On your browser navigate to the admin dashboard of your wordpress site (usually yoursite.com\/wp-admin<\/strong>)<\/li>\n
      9. Go to\u00a0Appearance-> themes and activate:\u00a0OnAir2\u00a0Child<\/strong><\/li>\n
      10. Install the required plugins (next manual chapter<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
